Robert Trent Jones, Sr. did not invent golf course architecture, it only seems that way. In a career that spanned nearly 70 years, Jones built or rebuilt some 400 courses in 45 states in the U. S. and 35 countries worldwide, with more than three dozen of them having played host to national or international championships. Some of the more notable ones are:

Robert Trent Jones GC Host to three President Cup matches.
Peachtree GC The first of Jones’ notable designs.
Old Warson CC A  frequent member of the Golf Digest Top 100 and host to 1971 Ryder Cup and 2009 USGA Women’s Amateur.
Spyglass Hill GC One of Jones’ more famous designs and one of his best.
The Dunes GC A  top resort course frequently rated high in the rankings.
Mauna Kea Forever considered the best course in Hawaii.
Firestone CC (South) One of Jones’ most well known and toughest designs.
Hazeltine National GC Host of multiple US Opens and the PGA.
Point O’Woods G&CC Home of the Western Amateur for over fifty years.
Valderrama GC Host of the 1997 Ryder Cup and many Volvo Masters tournaments.
